GameJam var 2023 - Theme "Decentralisation"

Free by the light is a game made during the Global Game Jam var 2023 following the imposed theme "Decentralization". The game is based on a type of rogue like game that we have "reversed", we embody a powerful prince who has been locked in a dungeon by his father because he denigrated his subjects and thought only of himself. To leave this place, he will have to face the skeletons that lurk in these depths and learn to consider others. To do this, at the end of each dojon, the prince will sacrifice one of his powers to transmit it to a spirit that will manage it (he decentralizes his power) so that at the end he becomes even stronger by understanding that together we are better. For this project we were a team of five people, three programmers and two graphic designers. As it is the principle of a Game Jam we had only 48 hours to realize the game.

Murex 2022 - 3D VR visit

This project has been made by a team of 12 people, which I was member, on Unity. We had to realize it for our studies (after 9 month of study). It has been done in a single week and has been publicly presented on November 25, 2022 in Toulon in France for an tech event which is called Murex. The goal was to create a 3D visit of Toulon Var Technologies's premises. It had to be visitable with a VR headset. On this project we were splitted into teams, Script/3D modeling/Texturing. I was part of the Script team and I mainly worked on the UI. I also developped some features that are not in the current project due to time constraints and TVT's specifications. This project was realized to make us known to the professionals.

School project - 2D Brawler game

CrazyMals is a local multiplayer brawler that allows two players to compete in burlesque fights by playing as animals from a zoo. The project was developed with Unity in three weeks by two people, I and Jules ALLEMAND at the end our first bachelor year. We created all the 3D assets, programmed the whole game, including the celshader. Only the sound and the onomatopoeia are imported assets. For the moment only two animals have joined the fight but new animals are planned to accompany our furry friends already present on the ring. We planned to post it on Itch.io and to do some updates.

Freehunt is a multiplayer VR game where you need to shoot target with a gun to earn points. This project has been made by a team of 14 people, which I was member, on Unity. We had to realize it in a single week for our studies (after 8 month of study). It was our first network multiplayer game. The goal was to create a multiplayer FPS VR game. We used Mirror for the multiplayer (imposed). We were splitted into teams Game Design/Art/Script. I was part of the Script team.

Sausage the game is a small arcade style game where the player is a sausage running away from the owner of the kitchen with a voracious appetite. Beware of the cutlery coming at you, it would be a shame to end up in a knacki ball. This project was realized in two weeks by two people, I and Jules ALLEMAND. It's our very first project and game that we created in the bachelor.

School project - Multiplayer Online Mini games

Partymals is an online multiplayer game composed of 7 crazy mini-games such as a car race with ostriches, a ram fighting arena, or a frog jump endurance test. It was developed in less than a month for our studies by a team of 3 people, but only 1 and I were responsible for the programming. When you start a game, you are taken to the game's board, which is composed of cells that can have positive or negative effects, such as "+3" or "-2," or no effect. We immediately start by playing one of the mini-games to determine the order of the players. This order is chosen randomly and the game begins when all the players are ready. At the end of each mini-game, a ranking is determined among the players. The first-place player is awarded a second die called a golden die, the second-place player is awarded a silver D3 die, the third-place player is not awarded anything, and the last-place player's die is replaced by a D3 die. When it's a player's turn, they roll the dice, and their character moves according to the number they roll. If they land on an effect cell, the effect is applied. There is a chain effect for the negative cells. Once all the players have rolled their dice, the turn ends, and it's time for a new turn and to play another one mini-game!

GiveUp! has been made in one week by myself. It is a speed run game where you need to end the game as fast as you can. The game is based on the same level that change a little bit everytime you end to become harder. I didn't put any details for the graphics on purpose.

School project - First projet on Unreal Engine

Island Suvival is the first project we did on Unreal. It was made in a team of 3 people in less than 3 weeks. It's a survival game where you are alone on an island. You have to find food and water to survive. After collecting enough resources, you can also create weapons to hunt and defend yourself from the monsters on the island. On this island is hidden your only way out, a flare. Once you find it, you can escape from the island and finish the game. All the programming was done by us, some 3D assets were taken from an asset pack and the rest modeled by our team.

All these projects were realized during my studies. I'm currently doing a bachelor in videogame architecture with a focus on programming. We also do Unity and Unreal integration, virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D modeling, game design, level design, storytelling, networking. The bachelor is made so that we can understand the people who we are working with, whether they are Game Designer, Graphic Designer or other.
